The latest BCC MigrationEngine for Mail release 4.9.1.0.x has been available for our customers in the download centre since 01.02.2024.

BCC MigrationEngine for Mail is a state-of-the-art, server-based solution, providing an automated transfer of (encrypted) emails, calendars, tasks, and contacts from HCL Domino to Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange to HCL Domino. The tool enables a smooth and risk-free migration and is specially designed for complex and compliance-sensitive companies.

The libcurl 8.4.0 security hotfix was implemented back in October 2023 with release 4.9.0.3, thereby closing the security vulnerabilities in the libcurl library discovered by the open source project curl.

In the current release, further improvements have now been made and new functions added.

When migrating from Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online to HCL Domino, a base folder can now be specified. It is now possible to migrate certain mail rules and out-of-office settings.

From version 4.9.0, statistics are created in Microsoft Excel for the migration and statistics documents are also generated in the log database. Furthermore, the query and post actions are deactivated during the trial or check run.

Microsoft Exchange supports recurring appointments with a duration of 0 seconds, which are no longer displayed in the calendar views when migrating to HCL Domino, as well as infinitely repeating appointments, which are not possible with Domino. Thanks to new options in version 4.9.1, appointments can now be set to a predefined time or a predefined number of repetitions.

When migrating from HCL Domino to Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online, the field mapping feature has been extended to support mapping to canonical properties. This now supports, for example, the option of setting the Exchange icons based on properties and/or formulas (PR_ICON_INDEX).
